Remember that Patience Is a Virtue

home business for womenIn some ways, ambition can be considered a blessing and a curse. All successful entrepreneurs know that it takes motivation and drive to succeed in a competitive business environment, which makes an ambitious attitude essential. On the other hand, it can be difficult for an ambitious woman to demonstrate patience with her fledgling business. Success is seldom achieved overnight; it’s a gradual process that requires constant attention.

The best bet in these situations is to focus on the aspects of a home business for women that can be controlled. For example, there are always ways to revitalize and innovate in the marketing department. As a savvy businesswoman, you should put yourself in your customers’ shoes. The dictionary describes “ambition” as:
“an earnest desire for some type of achievement or distinction, as power, honor, fame, or wealth, and the willingness to strive for its attainment…”
Well,of course, my associates who are women entrepreneurs aren’t looking for power, honor,or fame. Their “earnest desire” is less self-centered and more a desire for the security of their homes and families.
I guess they could be described by another word we don’t hear too much:”Gumption” that’s guts + ambition=success!

I agree 100%. Ambition is crutial in starting your own on line business, without the drive and desire for something greater, tasks become harder and harder to complete and before you know it, you business has failed. I am so greatful for the opportunity to start my business and have the chance to secure my family’s financial future. I am looking forward to the day that I can look back and laugh at how frustrated I would get, but how successful my patience has made me!

Something Erica said struck a chord in me. I also look forward to laughing at my past. I’ve found that a critical piece of being patient is to think past today’s challenges. Envisioning the future keeps me patient in the understanding that each little step takes me closer to my goal.

I agree that success is not achieved overnight. For a women who wants a home based business it takes a lot of patience and creativity. If I really want to get work done then I have to multi-task and often skip some extra sleep time but…. the benefits are outstanding and uplifting!
