In Business, You Get What You Give
While it’s impossible to guarantee success in online business, there are a number of steps women can take to dramatically improve their odds of turning a profit. One thing is for certain: you get what you give. If you treat your e-commerce endeavor like a hobby – only updating your site occasionally and neglecting to keep in close communication with clients – business will likely drop off. On the other hand, if you’re constantly looking for new ways to market yourself and spread the word about your products and services, good things are sure to follow.
Start by creating a manageable schedule wherein you separate business time from your personal life. That way you can build discipline and improve self-motivation to better run your mom home based business. Remember that when you’re working as your own boss, it pays to be strict and demanding.

I agree. It is easy to relax working from home with a home based business. But if you make a list of your six most important things that are income producing your business will flourish and you still have plenty of time do devote to your family. But you have to make that list the night before so when you get up you know exactly how your day is going to be.

I can really relate this article. It was a hard for me to keep business and “mommy mode” seperate at first. It definitely helps to have a schedule. For me, I constantly pretend in my mind that I am in another building office to help me remember to keep business seperate. My home base business has developed into a better routine.

To be successful within our business and in our lives, we need to be giving. Giving of our time, our expertise, our opinions, our strategies, our mistakes, our triumphs, our ideas, our money, our credibility, etc.
I believe that at the heart of each of us, we have a deep desire to make a real difference with our home based business – that’s where the passion and fuel comes from that sustains us through shaky beginnings, down times and expensive mistakes.
