As the snow flies

stuck in snow
As I gaze out my window at our first flurries of puffy, white happiness, my shoulders tense, my heart races, and I relive memories of last year’s accumulation. Getting to work in the winter has a special meaning for those who shovel, in the darkness, to reach their frozen cars.

This year my new online business for women allows me the warm, joyful comfort of being home during winter storms. Instead of struggling with traction devices, I’ll concentrate on enjoying the beautiful scenery. Additionally, if my kids stay home for a snow day, my stress-free job gives me the freedom to take a break and play outside.

As bad weather days approach, I wish everyone safe travel. If you own a home-based business, I wish you congratulations on making a smart choice for yourself and your family.

Oh that picture brings back memories. I was heading to daycare on the way to work and I was stuck in a car (dead battery) with my infant daughter. That was the scariest time of my life. I was so afraid of her freezing. I was lucky that my neighbor drove by. I never want to be stuck in that again. Thank goodness I don’t have to drive like that to a corporate job again!

I never liked driving in snow and ice. I was bad at it. We moved to Florida 12 years ago to get away from that type of weather. Now that I have found Women’s Dream Team and am able to work from home with a wonderful team of women, I don’t even need to worry about rainy days. I can stay home, work in the comfort of my office, and never worry about being stranded on the road. I’m so blessed to have left corporate America behind.
