Who Has Time To Cook?

Being a woman entrepreneur, a mom and homeschooling my twin boys doesn’t leave a lot of time for other things. Cooking nutritious meals that the kids will actually eat is a very difficult task. Even more difficult is coming up with the time to make the menus, buy the food and then prepare it. Whew! We won’t even talk about the laundry, the cleaning and that’s before you can even get dressed in the morning.

Once a Month Cooking has been a life saver for me. I set aside one day a month to plan a months worth of meals for my family. Then I make a grocery list and hit the store. The next step is to set aside one whole day to do all of the cooking. Once you have all those meals in the freezer it is so simple just to heat it up, add a salad or a side, some rolls and you have a wonderful meal in less than 30 minutes. It is a lot of work on cooking day but it is worth it. The time and stress that is saves the rest of the month is amazing. The internet has many sites with information about once a month cooking plus there are lots of books out there. Check your library. Once a month cooking allows me to give my kids quality, nutritious meals and have more time with my family and working my home business.

I never thought of cooking once a month…I am going to look into getting another freezer and do that. This makes me so excited. I have an 8 month old and I make her baby food once a month and freeze that, but I never thought about making family dinners that way. This gives me time to really put into my home based buisness. I am so on this.

Wow!!!! What A great Idea….I have 4 little ones and not enough time to be a creative as I would like with meals…..My daughters Love to get in there and help mommy cook but When I am trying to move so quickly to get something on the table I can’t always let them help….This way we can all work together and accomplish something wonderful.
