Humor is Uniquely Human
Recently, I heard a lecture in which the speaker talked about how a sense of humor sets humans apart
from the animals. Now,of course, you’ve “cracked up” over the antics of your puppy or kitten, but think about it…
As the lecturer asked, “Have you ever heard a really good joke, and you just couldn’t wait to get home and tell it
to your cat?”
The ability to laugh at ourselves, and at the ironies of our life,is indeed a precious gift that we should
not fail to utilize and appreciate!
To other women business owners like myself, this message is so important, because our lives are filled with
responsibilities and constant contact with people and personalities. Dealing with people can be difficult,or delightful, depending often upon our own view of the situation. While not treating others with disrespect, can we laugh at our situations, recognizing our own moments of fallibility, finding the irony, making it a point to find at least ONE humorous thing today? Collect those cartoons that really made you laugh. Put a smile in your voice when talking on the phone, even if you don’t feel particularly “smiley” that day…soon you will! Find the puns. Be corny. Experts agree that even your immune system benefits from laughter, and the endorphins produced from it can ease pain! Laughter is contagious…mirth has worth!

ABSOLUTELY!!! The kind-of good-natured humor you’re talking about can do wonders. It’s such a great way to make a connection with people, and isn’t that what this business opportunity is all about – connecting with other women who are like minded about creating the financial freedom we need to live our lives in a way that’s meaningful for ourselves and our families? And thanks for the great line, I’ll definitely be encouraging everyone I know to remember….mirth has worth!

I totally agree. Laughter is a form of internal jogging. It moves your internal organs around. It enhances respiration. It is an igniter of great expectations. I have found that I laugh so much more now than I did without this stay at home mom opportunity. Having more time to laugh and spend quality time with my kids was worth it. I wouldn’t change working from home ever!

Debra, We have absolutely found the best group of women with out Women’s Dream Team work from home opportunity! The support and training we have gotten is amazing. I don’t think there is any home based business out there that could come any where close to the support, training and professionalism we receive from our team.

Years ago, before I started my home based business, a co-worker said to me, “Why are you always smiling and having a good time? We are here to WORK and you are making the rest of us look bad.” Needless to say, I continued to smile and have a great time. I can usually find humor in most things.
Today I was with a group of women entrepreneurs and we were having a jolly time, laughing about some of the silliest things, but getting things done at the same time. I’m so glad that I am affiliated with women that know how to have a great time and still achieving great things with their own business

I have also recently become involved in a women home based business, Women’s Dream Team. Now, my family and friends are always commenting on how happy I always am. For over 30 years, I was always working at least 70 hours a week, and of course extremely stressed because of the work situation. I even have people saying that I look years younger due to the lack of stress in my face. I love being able to make my income completely from my home as I do my online business for women.

I think the relatinships you develope are quite different from working at home. You are not stressed out with your own womens home based business. You can take the time to really get to know the people who are like minded in creating financial security at home and humor comes easier. We do create more than good attitudes when working from home but develope better business relationships. Laughing at ourselves is the best medicine.

My family really enjoys the fact that Mom is always home now that I have begun my Home based business with the Women’s Dream Team. My son, a 17 year teenager, commented tonight that “today was take your child to work day. I wish I had known. I could have stayed home from school today”. Earlier in the week when I asked for my change back from an errand he ran, he thought he wa so funny with his comment of “what change….do you think my name is Barack?” Aren’t kids so funny?
