How many of you have a close relationship with someone who saves you thousands of dollars every year? If you are running a home business for women, and doing your own taxes, you could be throwing away your hard-earned money. I am educated in the field of accounting. However, the responsibility of staying current with the latest tax laws is a burden I am not equipped to manage. In years past, when I was an employee, I enjoyed the efficiency of tax preparation software. The interview-styled questions helped me understand my IRS form 1040. I even happily volunteered to help friends and neighbors complete their tax returns.
This year will be different. I own a home-based business. Even after my years of tax experience, I don’t trust my outdated knowledge, or my ability to navigate software, to the task of keeping every penny that I’m allowed. I’ll leave that job to the experts; those folks who must pay for continuing education classes every year, in order to get the most relevant information available. The same people who, this time of year, are working sixty to eighty hours per week. Do yourself a big favor and hire an expert this year. How much will it cost? Keep the reciept. You can deduct it as a 2010 business expense next year. Please remember one thing. When tax season is finished. Hug your accountant.

It is not too early to start thinking about how 2009 went and how you want 2010 to be. What you need to do is:
* write down your resolutions so that you can be reminded of them.
* create an action plan (reasonable action plan) to reach them
* read your plan daily so you constantly are reminded of them (it takes many days to make it a habit, and isn’t that what we are really doing..creating a new habit)
* celebrate success! (even baby-steps)

The media keeps telling us the recession is coming to an end. Our jobless rate here in Texas is almost 10% so I am not sure what facts they are looking at. Instead of looking at the doom and gloom of the media concentrate on working from home to establish a financial opportunity to get you through the tough times.
You may find that finding a home based business is what was the answer all along. Heck, they are still rebuilding Galveston after Hurricane Ike from this time last year.
All is not lost, just do your homework and choose the right home based business and there are quite a few out there but choose the ones that are legit.

Do you remember blowing on a dandalion and making a wish? Well, in working with my home based business I have a dream of residual income for women. In my trainings and research, I have learned that Goals are just Dreams With Deadlines! I do believe this is true. Why is this so important? When goals are written they become more concrete. The physical act of writing them on paper reinforces them in your mind. You are then more aware of them and more likely to achieve them. After you have written your goals, you need to review them as often as possible. You need to write an action plan that allows you to reasonable reach your goals.
The first step is putting that dream into motion and giving it a deadline. Then and only then can you begin to make your dreams of having success come true. Writing down what you truly believe in, your mind will accept and you will be determined to achieve.
What are your strategies for achieving your goals?
Our lives are much like rapid currents that sends us barreling down stream to rough waters. Right now it seems that we are in rough waters paddling, paddling trying to get to our goals that much faster. Making money is on every ones minds and needing more of it. For some, basic needs are a priority and for others just wanting to build a college fund, or retirement fund. The right job is really about what it would mean to work from home and take care of your family . Oh, did I say, “Make Your Dreams Come True”?
Finding the right job entails hours and hours of intensive creating of resumes’, setting appointments, lost time interviewing, and still no job that really eases your wallet or your mind. Take the time to research what a difference having your own home based business would mean. Would it entail more work? Not necessarily. Consider how much time we spend commuting , choosing our wardrobe, running errands and enumerous other responsibilities we may have. Take a chance, move out of your comfort zone and move towards financial independence. You can do this. Make a move towards the Womens Dream Team. Get in the boat, go down stream, toss the oars and go with the current. Let the current take you to what you wanted all along………..to stay at home, take care of your family and more importantly take care of yourself.
I worked in Corporate America since the 60″s and if you can remember Woodstock you experienced a cultural explosion. Trends have certainly changed and a whole new work environment has changed with it. The 60’s were exciting times with so much change and hope for the future. The high tech explosion with personal computers with Steve Job and many other entrepreneurs who changed the workplace and information highway. This era was the continuation of our parents legacy of working for Corporate America and putting in your 30-40 years and retiring with what you expected……….a pension and a watch. We contributed more than what we received. Working in the Oil industry provided so many employees with larger-than-life salaries and high hopes which ended in 1983 ending the era to negotiate your salary.
I find it ironic that if we did not learn anything in the 60’s it was at that time the thought of “working from home” should have brought on a whole new meaning to earning a living. Yes, we are “Baby Boomers’ but the quality of life again brings the evolution of residual income and becoming your own boss. An entrie culture of women entreprenuer’s are now making their own rules and spending time with their children and loved ones. I never would have thought I could choose a Business in A Box and it would launch my career for the promise of the financial security I had hoped for all these years.
This month marks the 40th Anniversary of Woodstock and a lot has changed but one thing is for sure…………I am in control of my own financial future and the possiblilites are endless for financial freedom. You do not have to be a “Baby Boomer” to realize that Social Security and the Healthcare system are in the hands of those whose time is running out on financial freedom. Is it not worth it to research a home-based-business that will make your life more comfortable and continue to work for you well into your senior years?

The environment is more important today more than ever as people are leaning more and more towards recycling and going green. Why is this so important now?
