We have a huge job fair coming to our city. Running a Business in America is where it is the most opportune right now. Companies are realizing the high cost of shipping overseas and inexpensive labor. I noticed so many people out of work in our city alone and the thousands standing in long lines in the heat to be interviewed and then maybe not.
The most important decision one can make is operating your own home based business. Everyone has something to gain building their own home based business. I was thankful for the oppportunity to to work from home and not be affected by the economy. There is a shift occurring in our society of women entrepreneur’s who understand the importance of seriously seeking their own business in the home place. There are many obvious reasons in having your own home based business, the unstable cost of gas, saving on your clothing bill for work, building financial security for retirement, and having that needed time with family.
I urge you to think about standing in long lines for massive job fairs and rethink your strategy for long term financial success.
You will never have to stand any another line or wait months for that phone to ring from a perspective employer.
I retired quite a while back to care for my 9 Saint Bernards. I had difficulty taking off when I had emergencies at home with my dogs.
Having a home based business was the only answer to staying in touch with what was happening in my kennel. Building a secure future was within my grasp with working from home. The importance of being at home be it children, elderly parents or animals certainly gives one peace of mind.
Financial security was within my grasp by working from home.
As all of you know the stock market has been acting as if it were a rollercoaster ride at Six Flags. The many ups and downs and twists it has taken have been wreaking havoc with investments and retirement funds.
Many of the major corporations offer 401K programs to their employees. However, these plans can be looked upon as only different levels of risk disguised as a benefit from the employer. Some of the plans even provide what seems to be a generous stock option in the company. This may appear to be a sound investment, but what happens if the company you work for goes bankrupt? If you find yourself losing your job because the company closes its doors AND your stock is now worthless, you have just been given a “double whammy”.
For me, in today’s economy, working for others has just become too much of a risk without great rewards. That has been my primary motivator for my online business for women. I can control the amount of acceptable risk and can easily calculate my expected reward.
Fortunately, with The Women’s Dream Team, I have found that I can create an extra income for women without a large financial risk. Having my own business has afforded me more than just financial rewards. Benefits such as, creating my own schedule, working from home (or anywhere else I choose), no overhead, no time-clock, no employees and no boss have all made me a much richer individual.
What are you risking in hope of a reward?
For centuries, women have challenged the traditionally male-dominated arenas of business and politics – and the results have been stunning. Today, more women are in power than at any previous point in human history. Many of the most happy and successful women avoid a trip to the corporate boardroom altogether. Home based businesses for women provide a chance for significant financial gain.
The Internet represents one of the most transcendent marketing tools available. Women can find their niche – interior décor, designer handbags, carpentry, you name it – and provide products to their clients from the comfort of home. Online businesses are particularly useful for busy mothers who don’t have the time to work a 9 to 5 schedule.
We all do it! Well at least most of us. Even if we don’t mean to we find ourselves in the middle of some tale telling sometimes. Why? I think sometimes we find it to be entertaining. I heard a news flash the other day that said gossip has been scientifically proven to be uplifting for the one gossiping. Well, what about the one being gossiped about? I doubt they are uplifted. I also heard it said that it takes 7 positive words to replace one negative word. Wow!!!
I think the real issue is that when we are talking about someone else’s faults, short comings, family problems or other issues it keeps us from having to look at our own. Once we see ourselves and our problems for what they really are we have to deal with them and that is a problem. It is so much easier to just talk about others and leave ours under the rug.
There are so many of these “forums” on the web now that are supposed to be glorious meeting places for people to get together and chat, meet friends, share ideas. In reality they are gossip spots. Whenever you involve yourself in these forums whether you are running someone down or defending them, you are still participating in “stirring up the dirt”. There are so many other more productive things to do.
As a home-based business owner, mother and grandmother I do not have the time nor the desire to bash or defend anyone in these forums. I do know that the people that are bashing usually do not even have firsthand knowledge of what they are talking about. Have you ever played the game where the first person in the group whispers a line in the other’s ear and that person relays the message, and on down the line. The last person then says what he heard out loud. It is amazing what that first person’s line ends up being. As a work-at-home mom I have to be careful what my children hear me talking about as well. We don’t want to raise little gossips. So, when you hear something negative about a person or groups…check it out first hand. Don’t just take what you hear as gospel, you could be missing out on something great if you do

We have to realize that nothing worth having in life comes easy. There WILL be hurdles, and challenges, ups and downs.
One thing that is common to all successful women business owners, and those who actively achieve their goals is that they have the tenacity to stick it out. Tenacity may very well be the most important trait of a successful business builder.
Keep your focus! Don’t get distracted and lose your grip on your plan! When things get tough, remember that tenacity will always bring you through!
With Women’s Dream Team, you will have the teamwork with other TENACIOUS women to help you keep your grip!
What is really priceless? If you really think about the word, you realize it is something that no one can pay for and no amount of money can replace it. If you think of the phrase “The best things in life are free” that does describe it.
So what do you qualify as priceless?
I can tell you what I qualify as priceless….
I used to work in corporate world and work 80 hours a week. There were at least 2 nights a week that I would take my kids to the babysitters in their jammies and come home to them asleep. That tore me up inside. The day that I begged the school nurse to keep my kindergartner at school even though she was sick because I had a meeting I could not cancel was the changing point of my life.
Raising my children is PRICELESS! (A perfect example is right now as I am typing this blog, I am listening to my child practice drums for the lessons that are this afternoon… a time of day I never could have accommodated prior)
Are you stuck behind a desk? In a meeting? In a suit?
Do you miss out on your child’s life?
Can you make this time up?

What if you had been on the team that developed marketing strategies for Google or when Microsoft moved out of the garage into their first official office. Both of these events took technology and the internet to a totally different level.
Those of you that are just starting your small business for women are at the forefront of an unbelievable opportunity. It is hard working professionals like yourself that have the ability to improve today’s economy on the World Wide Web, without relying on stimulus packages from the government. The SBA (Small Business Administration) stated that small businesses provide up to 80% of the net new jobs each year and 53% of them are home based.
If you’re still waiting on your stimulus funds from Uncle Sam, how long can you afford to wait?
I know that there are a lot of Women out there that need time flexibility. I find it ideal to have a women’s home based business that allows me to work on my business and take care of business at home as well.
Saving money is my favorite past time and having a home based business allows me to save on gas (Way too high right Now), eat at home, and wear my favorite pajamas to work. Who can say they can do this and have the opportunity to become financially secure in the privacy of your own home?
The New American Workplace….working from home. Women from all stages of life, moms, women entrepreneur’s have an opportunity for the flexibility they have dreamed of. I encourage all women to empower and have the time you have dreamed to spend the time with your loved ones. You deserve a financially secure future.
One of my favorite movies of all time is Gone With The Wind. The lead character Scarlett O’Hara faces various hardships and victories throughout the Civil War Era. She experiences first hand abundance of wealth, devastating poverty, joyful living and tragic death. Through it all she somehow found a way to overcome.
Out of this movie came several famous lines. Written script such as Rhett Butler uttering the first curse word recorded in a movie to Scarlett emphatically saying that she would “worry about that tomorrow”. I admired Scarlett for her tenacity and thought how wonderful it would be to put off worrying about something until tomorrow.
Well, as we all know, she was just an actress playing a role in a movie. In real life, facing real hardships we must think about and plan for our futures today. What are your dreams for a better life? Do they revolve around abundant wealth, better health or simply increased leisure time?
My “WHY” revolves around financial freedom for women. In your time of self examination, and thinking about the future, no matter whether you seek wealth, health or leisure, you can begin with asking yourself one question. “WHY?” Everybody has a different why. Discover what is important to you . . . . . to your family. You may find there are several whys on your journey of finding your ultimate why. Write each one down and keep them visible. Live each day with determination and intestinal fortitude to achieve your goals, make your dreams come true and satisfy your “WHY” . These are the key aspects for Women’s Dream Team at www.WomensDreamTeam.biz
You can either be a Scarlett O’Hara and worry about things tomorrow or you can make a stand today to plan for your future.
