For those of you who have school aged kids…. I am sure this has already happened….
You open the mail and you have a VERY long list of school supplies that need to be purchased!
At first you wonder what in the world are these teachers thinking. Then you wonder how you are going to pay for those supplies. I know between my two children I spend $250 on the supplies alone before I send them to school. Are these supplies necessary? Yes. School is not only teaching our children the basics (reading, writing, math, foreign language, science, social studies) but also how to be organized and prepared for the world of work. Think about your experiences in school and in the business world. I know I need to be very organized in my online business for women.
Some tips to get the supplies at a lower cost are:
- save as much as you can from last year (scissors, calculators, etc)
- check out store flyers. Each store offers something on sale and they make up their money on another item they have overpriced. Visit many stores to get your supplies.
- search for sales
- check out things in bulk. You know those pens/pencils/paper will need to be replenished so buying bulk is cheaper in the long run.
