A Mother’s Summer Dream

July 11th, 2010

I am so excited to tell you that I am a stay a home mom that is enjoying every moment of the summer with my girls.  I just a few short years…my girls will be in college and I will be an empty nester and I don’t want to look back on these days and think about what I missed.

I love driving them to soccer, basketball and swimming.  I love taking them all over to their friends house and then having  A LOT of teen girls at my house for sleepovers during the week…since I am the mom that is HOME!

The best things are the spontaneous times when we can just take off with the dogs and go to a park.

What do I do?  Come check out www.WomensDreamTeam.biz to find out! This could be YOU.

Copy Cat

Have you ever watched a child mimic a parent knowing that whatever they do is the way life really is? Parents are the best teachers for their children. Kids are so  smart these days they pick up on so much we do. You may not think it registers but it does! I have seen children manifest and reflect parent behavior among their own play groups.

Jump baby

If there is no other reason to have your own home based business I do not know what is. Imagine the benefit your child receives from watching your organizational skills, communicating , and problem solving with others. Children are learning the value of hard work to achieve their dreams. I have always thought of residual income and financial security going hand in hand in a successful womens home based business but I have never realized what an impact it has on future generations.

Children learn how to win and how to lose gracefully and when to accept the pitfalls even if only temporary. We are grooming a whole new generation of work at home business entrepreneur’s and do not even realize it. The next time your child asks while you are working at home and why you are so kind and so helpful and all that stuff helps you bring money into the home ……..tell them it is your legacy to them while they are growing up wondering what they want to be when they grow up.

Do not be surprised when they say, “I want to be just like my Mom”!

Do you wonder, “Who Am I?”

Women function in so many different roles during their lifetime. There have been articles written about the fact that if we were paid an actual salary for the positions that we hold it would be a six digit figure. We are an amazing breed. Realizing that, do you ever feel lost in those roles?
Who are you? Have you ever asked yourself that question? I have. As much as I love my family, I wonder sometimes who I am. As women we spend so much time pleasing others and caring for others we allow ourselves to be lost in the shuffle. What we don’t realize is, if we don’t find ourselves no one else will find us! We should have something that we can take pride in that is just ours.
I was faced with that decision one day two years ago when I went in search of something I could accomplish that would give me personal fulfillment, income, friendships and accomplishment. I was so grateful when I found Women’s Dream Team. I am building a home based business for women that will last me a lifetime. This is a business I can pass on to my children. I have made friends with some of the most amazing women. You may ask what makes this team so different from the others.  My answer would be respect.
Who am I? I am a successful business builder who loves my family enough to remember who I am.

Who are you?

Defining Success

February 7th, 2010

Fancy car? Giant TV screen? Big diamond ring?

Are these our measures of success? I used to think so. Then I got the car, the TV, and the ring. What happened next? I got to show them off to other people, of course.

Then what?

You know the answer… I bought more stuff. I made sure it was newer, bigger, and more expensive. Simple. Then as I continued down the path of accumulation, I reached the inevitable conclusion. Where would I put it all?

“That’s easy,” my friend suggested, “Rent a storage unit.”

Eureka! We had so much fun that weekend. I rounded up the kids, and made a fun family weekend of it. You can imagine everyone’s excitement when they heard my plan. “If you pack all this heavy stuff into my truck, and help me unload it, in the hot sun, I’ll give you each a new pair of working gloves.”

Yes, we’d achieved the American Dream. Lot’s of wonderful stuff and a storage unit to capture the overflow. Hmmm. What now? “I know,” my friend chimed in. “Let’s have a garage sale!”

If you’re like me, this story is familiar. If you want something more out of life, you should consider starting a home business for women. What I exchanged for all that stuff was my time, my relationships, and my sanity. My stuff owned me. Now, as I stay home with my children, and take the time to listen, their needs become more clear, and my life is full of the happiness I was searching for all along. I love my home based business for moms!

Love Being Home

20171_1109856366468_1828641540_216086_5552090_nI am finally getting used to the fact that I am a grandma and all of a sudden I have 12 grand kids. I am writing this blog from my son’s house in Elizabethtown, KY. I feel so blessed because without my home-based business I wouldn’t have been able to jump in the car and come down here to see my brand new granddaughter or to see my son off to Qatar next week. I remember back when my children were growing up. I worked so hard all the time, 40-50 hours a week. I was lucky to use my lunch hour in order to take care of doctor appointments or school functions. I was so exhausted when I got home in the evenings by the time I finished cooking dinner, getting the kids ready and cleaning up the house I didn’t have any desire to plan a vacation. I am so happy to be able to have it different now. Since we 6 year old twin boys now and we are new parents all over again, I find myself so rich in the fact that I can work from home and be home with my kids. Believe me, life is so much easier now.

Kids & Home vs. Job!

January 3rd, 2010
Author: Vicki M
my_bannerI just could not believe what the doctor was telling me. My son, an autoimmune disease, how in the world could this be. I don’t believe it. Every week I have to drive my son to the doctor for blood work and every two weeks take him to the hematologist/oncologist for a once over. He looks so normal, acts normal, eats normal but the reality is that his immune system is destroying him. What makes that happen? As I sat reflecting on all this new information I realized how blessed I am to be able to Stay At Home Mom Business and be available to do all this running back and forth every week. Moms really need to be able to be home so they can deal with the speed bumps that life has before us. Just when we think we have it all figured out, in comes one from left field. I could not imagine having to deal with the stress of my son’s diagnosis and have to go to a job and deal with that stress as well. As moms we need to research and try to do whatever necessary to stay home and care for our children instead of having to drop them off somewhere for a daycare to do it. This is the most important job that was ever created and we need to put our all into it. They grow up to quickly.

What are your goals for 2010?

December 16th, 2009

What are you goals?
What are you New Year’s Resolutions?

k0441790

It is not too early to start thinking about how 2009 went and how you want 2010 to be. What you need to do is:
* write down your resolutions so that you can be reminded of them.
* create an action plan (reasonable action plan) to reach them
* read your plan daily so you constantly are reminded of them (it takes many days to make it a habit, and isn’t that what we are really doing..creating a new habit)
* celebrate success! (even baby-steps)

If your goal is to have financial freedom…. consider going to www.WomensDreamTeam.biz and starting a home based business where you can earn residual income for women that can last a life time!

With all the hustle and bustle of the holidays, one needs to stop and take a moment to think about what is important. Family. It does not matter what holidays you celebrate, it matters the moments that you make. As a woman who chooses a home based business, I know the value of just being present for your family. This is worth more than all the presents in the world.

I wish you well and hope you spend this holiday season in good spirits and with loved ones.
