What are you goals?
What are you New Year’s Resolutions?
It is not too early to start thinking about how 2009 went and how you want 2010 to be. What you need to do is:
* write down your resolutions so that you can be reminded of them.
* create an action plan (reasonable action plan) to reach them
* read your plan daily so you constantly are reminded of them (it takes many days to make it a habit, and isn’t that what we are really doing..creating a new habit)
* celebrate success! (even baby-steps)

As individuals we are all on our own journey and level of determining our life goals. I would say the most important aspect of an individual is supporting our monetary needs.
Do you go to school , do you search for your dream job, or do we want to find a career that fires our passions?
How nice it would be to work from home and fire our own passions.
That would be the ultimate goal for 99% of us all. Why work for someone else and never receive the benefit of making your own money and creating residual income that lasts a lifetime.
If someone gave me a choice of working in a traditional job where your boss sets your workday hours, income etc.. I think most of us would choose to stay at home.
Working from Home is the answer for many who finds the tradional workplace no longer attractive. You can start now by researching your own women’s home based business. Take a look at the Womens Dream Team. Why not work from home rather than someone else decide your fate? You can make a decison to create your own financial security and create residual income. Those of you that are just starting your small business for women are at the forefront of an unbelievable opportunity. It is hard working professionals like yourself that have the ability to improve today’s economy on the World Wide Web, without relying on stimulus packages from the government. The SBA (Small Business Administration) stated that small businesses provide up to 80% of the net new jobs each year and 53% of them are home based.
If you’re still waiting on your stimulus funds from Uncle Sam, how long can you afford to wait?
Deciding to begin a home based business for moms may be the end result of wanting a better lifestyle for you and your family or you may just be tired of working for others. No matter what the reason, you will need a good business plan and lots of dedication and patience.
When making the decision to begin your business:
- Look for something you are interested in. Although you may have the drive to operate your own business, if your business revolves around something you have a sincere interest in, it will make it easier and much more fun.
- Find resources for advising, training, support and a proven business model. Even though you may have a unique idea, product or service you can benefit tremendously from others that have succeeded with similar businesses. Why try to re-create the wheel when all you have to do is ride on it?
- Decide what your financial commitment will be to start up the business as well as the money needed to sustain it month to month. You should take into consideration, the cost of your products or services, tools need to work the business and finally advertising or promotions.
- Set time aside for your business. If you are like one of the many moms that are looking to supplement an income earned from a job, then your business may need to be your second priority as far as your time allotment. However, keep in mind that your business will never get off the ground or be successful if you do not schedule dedicated time daily and weekly towards it.
Whatever business you choose, keep your eye on your goal. . . . . . oh yes, I almost forgot, you must have a goal.
I thought that by the time I retired that there would be adequate money for my husband and I, but I became concerned that health issues that could leave me penniless. I became concerned about my age and what type of work I would be forced to seek.
I learned at my age anything was possible and financial freedom was my priority. I seriously thought about working from home and decided to do a little research.
Could a woman my age start over and find the financial freedom ? I learned that the Womens Dream Team was setting the pace for a new revolution in working from home for a mature woman like myself. I had good organizational skills and I could relate to people who were like-minded in my endeavors.
Life can result in unexpected monetary issues and I found that there were many women just like myself who were women entrepreneurs. In fact, the work at home concept was for women of all ages and all walks of life. The greatest opportunity for many people from so many cultures and working from home. What a concept, women helping women from across the globe.
Like all the other baby boomers in America today, we deal daily with the stress of living in this modern age. Many things have changed, such as music, fashion, technology and the economy. However, the one thing that has not changed is the fact that we all grow up and take on grown up responsibilities. We have suddenly found ourselves neck deep in raising a family, having a career and establishing our place in this complicated world.
All of our daily tasks create stress in our lives. Stress that we thought only affected our parents when we were younger. Nothing else can compare to the stress that is created at the workplace with deadlines, schedules, bosses and not to mention working with difficult people.
Everybody is looking for ways to reduce the amount of stress they deal with each day. Some people turn to exercise, meditation, or just quiet time. The problem with these methods, is come the next day, you’re right back in the middle of the same stuff.
I have found my perpetual stress reliever. I am a woman entrepreneur that operates my own small business for women. I only have to meet deadlines that I set for myself, create my own schedule, only answer to myself and best of all. . . . . I decide who I work with. Each day, I tell myself how lucky I am, not having to stress over the small stuff like going to work.
What impacts how you show up?? This is a question I began to ponder a few years ago. Why?? First, let me define “showing up”. My definition of “showing up” is being present, not just physically but mentally & emotionally, doing things I truly enjoy.
Though I’ve had a very successful & satisfying career by my standards, after 30+ years in corporate environments I found myself in a “restless” state. I examined what it was that really made me happy during my career. Of course I felt blessed to have a salary that contributed to a comfortable life for me and my family. However, what made me really happy, what made me want to “show up” was what I was able to do for and with those that worked in the groups that I led as well and for other colleagues. As a member of the management team, I was able to assist in enhancing their work experiences, to make them feel valued, to help facilitate work-life balance and developmental opportunities, as well as enhance their financial status. I listened, facilitated two-way communication and knew what was most important to them, their aspirations, what made them feel like high contributors on the team. I knew their “why”, what made them “show up”. As well, I wanted them to enter into a place where they knew they were respected and valued, where their contributions were highly rewarded. We always felt and operated as a “team”
I am still in a corporate environment and I continue to do the things I mentioned, however, being “restless”, I wanted to transfer all the values I so cherish to another environment. I wanted something that provided satisfaction and value to me and to others. I wanted to do something that made me want to “show up”. I wanted something that allowed me time freedom as well as the gain of financial security. I wanted the perfect part time home based business. Now remember I didn’t know what “it” was however. Well, “it” came at a perfect time. It was something I could begin to do on a part time basis, something that allowed work life balance, something that makes me feel like I am “giving” value to others by enhancing their lives as well as mine, something that allows me to have unlimited income potential and the support and camaraderie of a wonderful team of women. Something I can convert from part time to full time upon leaving the corporate environment. Being my own boss and planning my own hours is a dream come true. The Women’s Dream Team has been the answer for me– the “it” for me that makes me want to totally “show up”.
What Kind of Support Are You Looking For?
If you’re reading the comments here, and getting to know the women of the Dream Team, first of all, Welcome! Make yourself at home.
It won’t take long to realize that we truly are a community of women, and one of the threads that weaves through all our lives and our stories is support. Who we get our support from, who we give our support to, why it’s important, and how it is crucial to the success of our on line business opportunity for women.

I’d like to tell you about one of my favorite Women’s Dream Team support methods – the motivational messages we get via e-mail. They’re great: short, to the point, relevant to any life circumstance, like having a short talk with your wisest friend. I’m going to copy part of a recent message here because for me it was so on target.
“Do you feel overwhelmed? The way out is to focus on now…Take a clear positive decisive step forward. Choose now to be fully engaged in making progress, and nothing will have the power to overwhelm you.”
Starting up a new on line business can definitely be overwhelming, but it doesn’t have to be. Support is the key to moving from overwhelmed to empowered. Getting these messages is just one of the ways that I feel the support of this amazing network of women entrepreneurs, every single day, in oh so many ways.
What are your stories about support?

I love to review a word that is common, but when I read the definition, provokes thought.
Some of the dictionary statements on the word “independent” were,” needing…no help from others…acting, working…by one’s own ideas, not as the crowd does…not under another’s rule or authority…not depending on others for one’s support…not controlled…by something else.”
Now, we are not islands, we’re all interdependent in our family lives and with our friends and loved ones. But I’m thinking about financial independence! Not being “controlled” by your obligations, your DEBTS. There’s a proverb that says ‘the borrower is the slave to the lender.’ Do you ever feel like that, as if you are a slave to those credit cards, or the loan company?
Time to get serious about turning things around. Get tough with your spending! Systematically start paying down those cards, from the lowest balance to the highest.
And if you want to find a way to bring in extra income, NOW is the best time to get started.
An on line home business for women endeavor like Women’s Dream Team can be your first step toward the kind of TRUE financial INDEPENDENCE you personally will be happy to celebrate!
